TOP 5 Fall 2020 Fashion Trends : Wearable Fashion

FALL 2020 FASHION TRENDS

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and I’m not talking about Christmas. It’s the Fall season, and I’m so excited for all the Fall fashion. I’ve had my eye out for all the amazing fashion trends that have been circulating this season. Some I love, and some I’m not quite all that sure about. I’m more so into fashion that is wearable and not so much trendy. However, if it just so happens to be the hottest trend of the season, then that’s just fabulous. I’ve compiled some of my favorite Fall fashion trends for the 2020 season. I’m so looking forward to styling up these pieces and showing you how you can incorporate trendy pieces into your wardrobe. There’s nothing wrong with experimenting with fashion. If you don’t like the look, then no big deal. At least you can say you tried it, and it didn’t work. There have been trends that I never thought I’d love, but low and behold, I fell in love. That’s what’s so unique about fashion. It is just so subjective. What may work and look good for one person, may not work for the next. So never say something isn’t for you until you’ve tried and tested it out for yourself. Ok so now let’s get into the latest fashion trends of the Fall 2020 season.

1. CHUNKY BOOTS

I don’t know what it is about this trend, but I’ve been seeing it worn all over social media. At first I wasn’t in to it, but I thought I might as well jump on the band wagon and see what all the hype is about. I purchased two boots from Asos recently. I purchased one and six from the photo below. Number one is a Bottega dupe and number six is a Prada dupe. I’m not one to spend a fortune on a trend, and thought that the affordable route would be the way to go just to see if I even like this trend or can incorporate it into my wardrobe. 2. PREPPY STYLE

The preppy style is definitely one trend I can see myself wearing even if it’s no longer a trend. I love this trend because there are so many interpretations of it, and you can make it your own. I for one love sweater vests which just scream preppy. My mind goes to Gossip Girl when I think of this trend. In my opinion, this trend can make you look classy and put together. You can dress this look up or down and just have so much fun with it. I could do a whole blog post on the styling possibilities. It really is such a versatile style. Put on your favorite preppy style and let’s take a trip to the Hamptons.

3. THE COLOR BROWN

I’ve really been loving the color brown all year long, so I was really excited when it continued into the Fall season trends. It is the perfect alternative to black. It’s so retro as well. Prior to this year, I don’t think I had anything in my wardrobe in the chocolate brown tone. I’ve always just gravitated towards black. However, I do believe I’ve found my substitute. Brown like black just pairs perfectly with any color in my opinion. I especially love it with pink, orange, and cream. It looks absolutely gorgeous on medium to dark skin tones. If you don’t have this color trend in your wardrobe, go ahead and find you a piece or two to add to your collection. 4. BERMUDA SHORTS

Who says you can’t wear shorts in the Fall/Winter? Well I used to think so until recently. You absolutely can transition shorts into the cooler months. It’s all about layering. I’ve never really been a fan of wearing shorts. I just didn’t find them flattering or comfortable. Then came the Bermuda shorts trend. I decided I’d try this trend out just to see how I’d like it. I also challenged myself to get out of my comfort zone and see if I could find ways to style this trend. Turns out, I found several ways to make this trend work for my lifestyle. I say lifestyle because a surfer on a beach comes to mind when I think of this trend, but I’ve seen it being styled like a suit to make it more wearable. I definitely get major 80s throwback vibes when I see this trend being styled as a suit. Either way, it is a versatile piece that can be styled multiple different ways.

5. SHOULDER PADS

This trend is another favorite of mine. I’ve gone stir crazy over this trend. I have just about every shoulder pad muscle tee that is on the market right now, and I’m not ashamed of it. Shoulder pads just add a little more detail to an otherwise plain t-shirt. Of course it just doesn’t stop with t-shirts. We are now seeing this trend in sweaters, sweat shirts, and long sleeve tops. This trend has certainly taken over and doesn’t seem to be letting up any time soon, which I’m happy about. This is another trend straight from the 80s time capsule. I’m sure if you raid your mom or grandmother’s closet you’re sure to find something with shoulder pads. You can even visit your local thrift store for those hidden gems. This is a trend that you either love or hate, but either way, it is here to stay. Check out my top picks down below.
