For this weeks edition of Fashion Friday, I was inspired by the autumn leaves. Shades of yellow, red, green, and orange are starting to pop with the changing of the season, and I’m all here for it. Who would have thought that God’s beautiful canvas could inspire fashion and style. The picture above inspires me to want to get out and enjoy nature and all its glory. I absolutely love vibrant tones especially when it comes to my wardrobe even though I’m a neutrals girl. Those beautiful shades of Fall really make a statement against my skin tone. As a matter of fact, women of color look amazing when adorned with the rich shades of Fall.
Today I’m showing you how to incorporate a little color into your Fall wardrobe. It can be as subtle as a pop of color with shoes or accessories or an all out color extravaganza with head to toe vibrancy. Take a look at my take on Fall inspired outfits.
This first look is full of texture. The color brown has been trending for a while now, and I can’t get enough of it. The blazer is old from Forever 21. The top is from Mango, and I purchased it during the Summer. The faux leather pants are from Shein. The shoes are from Aldo. The croc-effect handbag is from Shein. This is the perfect outfit combo to wear to the office this season. You can switch out the loafers for some ankle boots if you’re cold natured like me.
The second look is an example of adding just a pop of color to go along with the Fall color trend. This look also has an injection of pattern. The blazer, which I purchased from Target a few years ago, is probably one of my favorite blazers. That says a lot because I have a pretty hefty collection of blazers. The long sleeve top is from Mango. It is more of a Summer piece, but I like to use my Summer pieces to layer for the colder months. The belt is from Asos. The jeans are from Nordstrom. The handbag is from Amazon. The boots, which in my opinion sets the look off, are from Mango.
This third look is my interpretation of the Fall plaid trend. Plaid is one of those patterns that comes back around every Fall season. If I’m going to wear plaid, I do like to keep it classy and chic. The leather jacket, which is from Shein, gives the look more of an edgy vibe. The dress is from Mango. The handbag and knee high boots are from Zara. I’m in love with these burgundy boots. It took me forever it seems to find the perfect ones. The color combination of burgundy and mustard yellow just seems to work.
This next look is an example of wearing an all black outfit and incorporating one vibrant color for a pop. I love the tiered sleeves of my burgundy blouse and don’t want to hide them. So I like to add a vest for a little more warmth. I look like the dancing lady emoji when I wear this top which by the way is from Shein. The vest is from Topshop. The handbag and jeans are from Zara. The sock booties are from Asos. I purchased the booties earlier this year. I have been looking everywhere for some sock booties that actually hug my very small ankles and was enamored when I found these on Asos.
This last and final look is probably my favorite out of all the looks. This emerald green blouse is beyond vibrant. I love the pairing of green and brown together for the Fall season. This whole look is from Zara except for the blazer which is from H&M and the belt which is from Mango. This is the perfect outfit to wear if you work in an office setting.
I hope you enjoyed my interpretation of outfit ideas for the Fall. Let me know which look was your favorite. Recreate one or a few and let me see your interpretation. Take care of yourself as well as others and have a beautiful weekend!
