With winter FINALLY coming to a close, I thought I’d give a little review on a new product I’ve been using for the past month or so. That product is by Peter Thomas Roth called the Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream Hydrating Moisturizer. If you’ve read up on my skin care routine in one of my previous blog posts (click here to read), then you would know this product was not initially in my routine at all. I first received this product as a sample from Sephora back in November of last year. I’m not big on moisturizers as I have very oily skin, however, this winter my skin has become a lot more dry with the drop in temperature. I don’t like to use moisturizers because they tend to make my skin even more oily, and I end up looking like a grease ball. However, I’ve really come to love this product in my winter skin care routine.
Claims about product (from peterthomasroth.com)
This concentrated 30% Hyaluronic Acid complex cream transforms atmospheric vapor into fresh, pure water from the clouds, providing your skin with a continuous burst of intense hydration that lasts up to 72 hours. Three molecular sizes of Hyaluronic Acid, a potent hydrator that constantly attracts and retains up to 1000 times its weight in water from moisture in the atmosphere, helps replenish skin to make it appear more supple, full and smooth. Ceramides help lock in moisture while ProHyal+ helps improve hydration for healthier-looking skin. Anti-oxidant-rich Elderberry helps defy the look of aging. The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles is visibly reduced, leaving a silky, hydrated and more youthful-looking complexion. Oil-free, alcohol-free, fragrance-free.
My Thoughts and review
It is so light weight and airy! It definitely looks like a cloud! After applying this product, my skin does not become oily throughout the day. In fact, it leaves my skin well hydrated throughout the day. I tend to have problems with flaky skin around my forehead and nose, but this product helps to relieve that flakiness. My skin has really felt soft and smooth after continued use over the past month. I apply it to my face and neck after cleansing my face and applying my serum. This moisturizer has really helped to lock in moisture, and it’s not greasy at all. In fact, it feels much like a serum. It has become a part of my daily skin care routine. It is a little pricy, but a little goes a long way. I literally just dip my finger lightly into the product once, and it is enough for my entire face and neck. I’m hoping that it will stand the test of time as the weather becomes a bit more warmer in the south. I’m curious to see how my skin will respond! Stay tuned to see if I rant and rave about it in the spring and summer!
